Patriot with flagThe Colonel Thomas Reynolds Chapter is a women's service organization dedicated to pursuing the objectives of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) — historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavor.

We welcome guests and prospective members who would like to attend our meetings. Please contact either of our chapter regent, Grace McAfee or our registrar, Karen Hardy, who will be happy to provide complete information about the date, time and location of our meetings.

Any woman is eligible for membership who is no less than eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, blood-line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death. Please visit our membership page for additional information about becoming a DAR member.

Most of our members reside in Burlington County, centered around the county seat of Mt. Holly, New Jersey. However, women from anywhere in New Jersey, from other states, or from any country in the world may join our chapter.

Objectives of the Society:
Historic Preservation, Education and Patriotism

Let your light shine before others that they may see

your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven.

 Matthew 5:16

The Mission of the VanBuren Associates is to energize

members to rise up in meaningful service to America

and to shine by raising awareness of DAR’s purpose,

relevancy and vibrancy through robust public outreach.

We will honor the spirit of our Revolutionary ancestors

and educate the public about their sacrifices,

and we will actively promote the rights and

responsibilities of U.S. citizenship.

Our administration goals include completing the final

phase of restoration for DAR Constitution Hall;

working to propel membership to 200,000; and ensuring

financial stability and leadership training at every level.

Would you like to know more about the Colonel Thomas Reynolds Chapter?
If you have a patriot of the American Revolution in your ancestry, we would love to have you visit and to join us. If you believe you are descended from a Revolutionary patriot but are not sure, please know that visitors are always welcome, and we will help you trace your ancestor. It is important to note that the term "patriot" includes not only those who served in the army, navy, or a militia but also those men and women who provided funds, food, livestock, shelter, medical attention, or in any way furthered the cause of American independence.

Our chapter will be happy to provide assistance to you in proving your descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, and in establishing your eligibility for DAR membership. We can also provide you with genealogical advice if you are just beginning your family search. For assistance please contact our registrar, Karen Hardy.
